Glass Sample Embedding Apparatus
Paraffin section covering device
A useful tool to reduce the burden on pathology researchers who must process a large number of tissue (cellular) sections by preparing samples for observation by slicing paraffin blocks onto a glass plate. With this device, researchers can easily and evenly cover the samples with thin paraffin film to make them storable for a long period of time. This process enables the researchers to produce many section samples en bloc for better allocation of their valuable time. The device also provides a function to re-embed the remaining paraffin block from which section samples were made.
Glass Sample Embedding Apparatus Features
- Selective partial paraffin embedding on any part of the thin section on a glass plate
- Simply insert a plate and push the lever, then the processed plate will be automatically unloaded
- Paraffin embedding with minimum film thickness
- Environmentally friendly with minimal use of paraffin-removing solvent
- Provides a mechanism to cut the paraffin film into a desired shape (cutting off corners, etc.)
- Provides a mechanism to re-embed the cut surface of the paraffin block for later use
- Small and light device installable anywhere
- Quick-start capability that allows power-up on an as-needed basis
- Maintenance free and low power usage
