Kaken Geneqs Co., Ltd. was established in 1976 as Kaken-Kogyo Co., Ltd. Our company originally operated as a developer, manufacturer, and vendor of brushes and automating equipment. We reached a turning point in 1990 when we developed gas injection equipment in corporation with Asahi Kasei Corporation. Since then, we have established our position as a pioneer in the field of gas injection equipment with the largest installation base in Japan. We have also contributed to improving the quality of plastic injection technology. In addition to gas injection equipment, we have a lineup of counter pressure units as well as hot/cold thermal cycling units. We support an extensive array of gas molding technologies, including the provision of customized versions of our products that meet the specific needs of our customers. These custom solutions often include the application of gas boosters – one of our core gas injection equipment technologies – applied to solutions that extend beyond their original purposes (e.g., plastic molding).
Such novel assemblies have already been introduced in a variety of business areas. Taking advantage of the expertise we have accumulated since the establishment of our company, we also develop equipment for use in bio-related and factory-automation fields. The microarray, one of our in-house technologies, has received high commendation and was the recipient of the Prime Minister Award at the first Monozukuri (Manufacturing) Nippon Grand Awards. Currently, we provide contracted manufacturing services of DNA chips utilizing our microarray technology.
Our company name, Kaken Geneqs, is derived from a combination of our previous name and "gene equipment." It represents our desire to make contributions to a variety of industries, including bio-related fields as well as gas molding, through active application of mechatronics technologies we have continued developing since our establishment.
